It is a Terra Nova introduction and part of the Crisp Series. Works well in containers. Grows 12-14″ high by 16″ wide. Zone 4.
Heuchera ‘Sugar Frosting’ – A dense-growing Heuchera with matt burgundy foliage overlaid in pewter, so that the darker veins show through. This Proven Winners selection also bears airy cream-coloured flowers from April to July. Tolerates part shade to full sun exposures and works well in containers with Sedum ‘Angelina’. Grows 8-10″ high by 12″ wide. Hardy to zone 4.
Heuchera ‘Georgia Plum’ – This introduction by Terra Nova is a new form of ‘Georgia Peach’ and was bred from H. americana, Heuchera micrantha and H. villosa. Hardy to zone 4.
Heuchera ‘Frosted Violet’ – This cross of Heuchera ‘Silver Lode’ and ‘Bronze Wave’ produced an interesting foliage of violet-purple (with some pink at spring flush) with a pewter overlay. It blooms from late spring into summer with airy pale pink flowers borne on 30″ high scapes. ‘Frosted Violet’ has a more open and upright growth habit. Grows 12″ high by 18″ wide. Hardy to zone 4.
Heuchera ‘Rio’ – Another Terra Nova introduction with spectacular foliage that emerges peach, shifts to amber and matures to a golden-amber colour with some silvery highlights. The white flowers are borne on dramatic maroon scapes that rise just above the mound of leaves. It is a part of the City Series and works well in containers. Grows 10-12″ high by 12-14″. Z4.
