Heuchera VII / Coral Bells

heucheracinnamoncurls (300x297)Heuchera DOLCE CINNAMON CURLS (syn. ‘Inheuredfu’) – A Proven Winners selection with heavily bisected and curled leaves of copper, red or purple, depending on the time of the year. These are contrasted by a reddish-purple reverse which shows on the curled leaf edges. It has insignificant flowers and works well in a containers. Grows 8-12″ high by 12-16″ wide. Zone 4.

heuwinterjoy (300x299)Heuchera ‘Winter Joy’ – A part of the Seasonal Selection Series that was developed in the UK to create more resilient heuchera plants. The chartreuse to bright yellow foliage of ‘Winter Joy’ has been bred to be scorch resistant and also sturdier than most gold heuchera. It has a compact growth habit with small white blooms held on gold stems. Grows 10-12″ high by 14″ wide. Zone 4.

heupeachflambe (298x300)Heuchera ‘Peach Flambe’ – This Terra Nova introduction has eye-catching cherry-peach coloured foliage with darker veining. It shifts to more muted tones of plum-purple in winter and bears creamy-white flowers on bright red 16″ high scapes in summer. This variety colours best with either morning or late afternoon sun. Grows 8″ high by 14″ wide. Hardy to zone 4.

heucheracarnivalpeachparfait (300x293)Heuchera ‘Carnival Peach Parfait’ – A part of the Carnival Series with deeply cut leaves that shift from peach to a bright rosy-pink, depending on the time of the year. These are overlaid with silver to pewter highlights which accent the darker veining. This Villosa hybrid tolerates both heat and high humidity. Good in containers. Grows 10-12″ high by 14-16″ wide. Hardy to zone 4.

heuseptembermorn (295x300)Heuchera ‘September Morn’ – Another of the Seasonal Selection Series from the United Kingdom which is rich in autumn tones of yellow, copper and orange. The ruffled leaves form a dense crown with hints of the reddish-purple reverse showing through on the edges. ‘September Morn’ bears small coral pink blooms above the crown in summer. Grows 12-14″ high by 18″ wide. Zone 4.
